Edison pearls are large freshwater cultured pearls, developed to rival the costly saltwater pearls of the South Seas. • A tribute to Thomas Edison: Named after the celebrated American inventor, they honour the spirit of innovation, ingenuity and pioneering vision behind their technological development. • A break with tradition: They represent a revolution in freshwater pearl cultivation: while traditional methods used fragments of tissue, Edison pearls are cultured using a solid, spherical bead nucleus (just one gem per mollusc).
